Top 4 Things All-Inclusive Lodging Should Cover

Planning a getaway with your significant other is much simpler when you select an all-inclusive resort. This type of lodging combines the common costs of a trip into one price so that you can essentially leave your wallet at home. Unfortunately, not all of these hotels are equal. Some provide more benefits and amenities than others. When booking lodging at an all-inclusive resort, you'll want to make sure the deal includes the following four things:

Room

The main factor in the overall price of your stay depends on what type of room you select. Traditional hotel rooms keep the all-inclusive price much more affordable, while choosing a honeymoon suite adds a few extra dollars. When booking your room, don't forget to consider the view. Often times you'll have a choice between a stunning beach view, sparkling pool view, or beautiful garden landscape view.

Meals

All three of your daily meals, as well as some snacks, should be included in the price of your stay. Some all-inclusive lodges have multiple restaurants on the property. If this is true for your destination, you'll need to inquire as to which of these establishments is included in the price, as many times there will be a steakhouse or special restaurant that costs a little extra to dine in.

Beverages

Next, you'll want to make sure the all-inclusive lodging provides both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for the duration of your stay. This should include water bottles in your guest room, beer and sodas in the restaurants, and ice teas and wine by the pool. Some facilities restrict alcoholic beverages to certain times of the day, or with meals, so be sure to ask about the beverage policy when booking. It's also common for champagne and specialty drinks to be extra.

Non-Motorized Water Sports

Going on vacation means more than just sleeping and eating. Couples and families will also want to take part if a few exciting activities. All-inclusive lodging allows you to do this with a variety of non-motorized water sports. Many of these sports come with free lessons. For example, you can learn how to surf with the aid of an instructor, or simply borrow one of the resort's surf boards if you already have experience riding the waves. There's also the opportunity to take out a kayak or join a water aerobics class in the pool. Some hotels have their own tennis and volleyball courts, should you prefer to stay on dry land.
